Looks like a chocolate cup cake, dunnit...? Found at least 50 of them in my garden this morning - yuk!!! Carried them faaaaar away to protect my fox glove, rudbeckias and lupines...
soon i will have been working as a translator of german and english for 15 years, but art is where the heart is - painting, drawing, screen-printing, photography, film, anything with a visual edge. i have been drawing ever since i could hold a pen, so over the years i felt this urge to move to more creative realms... i studied animation in switzerland, and my final, "mare mosso" (rough sea) was shown at a number of festivals in switzerland and abroad. i then went on some work experiences in animation, with www.gentinettafilm.ch („the cable car“), as a storyboard assistant and prop artist for caligari film in munich, germany („moonbear“ tv series and feature film) and at the „puppet hospital“ of the „fantastic mr. fox“ productions, london, which made me return to the uk soon after. i attended the UWE three-month animation course in bristol, uk, focusing on 2D drawn animation. i helped two NFTS animation MA students finish their graduate films and also produced animation for PwC, cabtus and MyDepotcheck in zurich.
i am currently based in bristol and lucky to rent studio space at coexist in stokes croft, working as an illustration/design artist, animator and translator.
